I lost my parents when I was 8 years old. I didn’t have any close relatives so I went to live with my neighbours. I never went to school. I came here to learn how to write, read and count because it will help me to depend less on other people. I also think it will be nice for me as a Christian to be able to read the bible. I am married and my husband works in construction.I cultivate for people in the neighbourhood. They pay me a little but they also let me let me grow my own vegetables and beans on a small portion of their land for me and my family. We always have food. My main concern now is having to pay rent. We pay 4000 RWF every month. I am always stressed out at the end of the month when I think about paying rent.  Sometimes it’s tough especially when my husband doesn’t get enough jobs. My heart will be at peace the day we will be able to own a house. I hope I will be able to get a job when I know how to write and read. My dream is to get a job that pays well and allows me to put aside half of my salary every month until we are able to build a house of our own.
